Pastor Joe Monfreda is a husband of 31 years, a father of 3 grown children, and the Senior Pastor of the San Dimas, California ministry, Calvary Church of San Dimas.

In 1982, Pastor Joe surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at a Chino Hills home Bible study leading him and three brothers in the Lord to start Calvary Chapel of Rancho Cucamonga in 1984. As an Apologetics Major from Simon Greenleaf University, God opened the doors for him to teach Apologetics & World Views at the Calvary Chapel Bible College Murrieta campus from 1995 to 1997. He then began serving as an Apologetics and Expository Bible Study teacher at Calvary Chapel of San Bernardino for 6 years before relocating to the city of Upland to attend Life Bible Fellowship Church.

He attended Life Bible Fellowship in 2000 where he continued his Expository Bible Study teaching and taught on Apologetics in the “Critical Issues” class, while serving as an Elder on the church board in 2008. He would then serve as Chairman of the Elder Board until 2011 when the Lord called him and his family to attend Calvary Chapel of Chino Hills. Pastor Joe and his family would attend the Chino Hills Calvary Chapel for 2 years before prayerfully joining a Pastor friend and his church plant, Calvary Chapel of New Beginnings, in the city of La Puente.

Pastor Joe Monfreda exercised his gifts in this ministry helping to further the La Puente church plant while teaching at the Calvary Chapel Bible College Costa Mesa campus. The Lord would then call Pastor Joe and his family to start a Bible study in his Upland home, eventually flourishing into a new church plant in the city of San Dimas.

God continues to bless and guide Calvary Church of San Dimas opening the doors for a ministry dedicated to spreading the Gospel in the city of San Dimas, California.
